Persistence is business fuel.

What it takes to succeed is persistence. All the things that you read or know about wouldn't be worth a dime if you didn't make them happen. This is especially true in internet business and working from home in general. To make money and/or changes in your life happen you have to Work and Persist in your work.

A statement that I read somewhere on the web and that remained in my mind ever since, proves just that. It said that 98% of the people who try to make money on the web (particularly in MLM and affiliate marketing) give up due to the lack of downline building skills, but 98% of those 2% that don't give up get rich and retire wealthy with very substantial residual incomes.

Keep in mind that the only difference between those that achieved great things in their lives and those that didn't, whether is was money, or career, or knowledge or mastering their niche, was that they did not give up. It takes time.

Knowing this, they persisted to to work for their dream. They sought the knowledge they needed to advertise effectively; how to get targeted leads; how to network within social groups to make solid, trustworthy contacts, and finally how to make everyone involved profit.

Think of your business as a Ferrari and persistence as the fuel for it.

Use Your List Strategically To Monetize

There is a famous proverb saying that "If you keep going in the same direction, you are going to end up where you started." One should always look for innovative ways to get better, faster results in order to run a successful business, generating quality leads in less time.

There are do's and don'ts in social marketing


When it comes to social marketing (which is in my opinion the best format), there are a few things the can can really hinder your success.

When you introduce yourself to someone, don't immediately pitch your business to him/her. faux pas. They'll think "Wow. what a jerk".


Leave your ego outside. Don't start talking about your success. They'll think "Wow. What a rich jerk". Major faux pas.


Don't start telling them how to do business. Let them ask you. After all we were all new to this at some time or another.


When they finally ask (and they will) what it is you do, be able to tell them. Be able to answer every question known to man about your business and how to reference it at the drop of a hat. After all, if you're gonna sell something you have to know what is and what it can do.


Keep in touch with your contacts and be their friends offline as well as on. People will work with people they know.

Downlines Are People Too.


Remember the "good ole days" when a handshake could seal a deal? Internet business and building downlines that create nice residual incomes for all the participants comes much easier to affiliates who base their organizations on people they build relationships with rather than consider "numbers".

These are the affiliates who turn into team leaders and build great, long-lasting businesses. It brings to mind Andy Griffith, the sheriff who didn't even need a gun because all the citizens were friends of his.

The team leader who knows he can trust his marketers can work happily and concentrate on building his retirement because they have a relationship built on working at home to create wealth. He knows them, their capabilities(which he may have even taught them)and knows they will utilize or improve on his. This keeps organizations growing. One big happy Mayberry of an online marketing empire.

Then there can also (on the other side) be a Barney Fife. He has a gun but no bullets.
He never talks to his downline, never answers his phone for them, and never bothers to ask "how's it going".

He says "just do more advertising". "Make more calls". He's the know it all who won't help. He thinks he's the boss. What good is it when all his people quit after two weeks? He has no ammo, no business left.

He's got to start over time and time again. Hopefully, he'll catch on one day. That kind of operation takes a lot of leverage. Most newcomers can't profit from it.


After it is all said and done, the old ways have come back. a handshake and a friendly voice go much further towards building a successful business than the "all business" attitude today.

Too many have lost money to learn "there is no such thing as a free lunch". Prospects have become gun-shy of the "next biggest thing" and "make a million dollars a week". Today, offer people what they may need; something they will find very useful to their efforts toward being financially independent. Answer the phone. Offer ideas and explanations. Share resources.

This will show them that you've been there and can identify with their quests for success. You will become someone they trust; they'll work with you forever. Thus, you have built a loyal downline and can pursue your interests much more productively. Your business will be fully loaded from then on.

This is very basic to say the least. Sometimes it helps to be reminded of the basics. The world's tallest building will fall if the foundation is not maintained.

You can't build or sustain a business on a shaky foundation. It simply will not last for long and you will have wasted valuable time. I choose to build it right so it will last.

What's the point?







Every business...home business, work at home, marketing...whatever, has to have a reason to exist. The owner has to have a reason for doing it. I don't mean just money either.

An actual heart-felt desire to provide something. As every business has to have a product, so does every marketer have to have a reason for advertising his/her online business.

This reason has to come from one's "inner desire". This alone could be the force that drives you to put in countless hours at your monitor to find your niche. Once you find it, working at home becomes more of a hobby than a job.

I don't know about you but I'd much rather goof around" on my computer doing what I like than beating my brains out trying to make something work that I don't enjoy and in most cases will never see produce tangible results.

Find what you like to do and do it. The money will definitely come in time. Rome wasn't built in a day neither is a substantial source of residual income. It is a process of trial and trial.

I don't think of it has error unless it costs a fortune and doesn't live up to it's claim. Everything you tried that didn't work was one more thing you found to not work, so you go to plan B. That's a philosophy that keeps it fun for me : )

Work actually does pay off. Who knew?

I guess it's true; good things come to those who wait, or in this case those who work. When I first started advertising I thought "wow. No-one can turn this down". Believe it or not, that's exactly what everybody did. I literally got no sign-ups.

I thought I could just put the ads in a few sights and tomorrow without doing anything else would get a $10,000 check that weekend. HA :) . That's how ridiculously easy some programs claim to make this business. Don't you believe it! Of course along the line I did learn quite a few things.

One of the most important things is to keep track of my ads, check the responses to them and you can never do enough of it. Strategically place your ads in places where you get results and pound away at it.

Stay focused. It is extremely easy to get distracted while advertising. Something seemingly better always pops up and I used to get distracted a lot. Now I tend to focus on the list builders.

The lists I get are mine. I talk with people on my lists, go over strategies and share ideas with them. We become friends and often business partners. From now on I think like the "big dogs". After all; I wanna be rich too.

No such thing as a free lunch.

I've tried every "get rich tomorrow" opportunity out there and I've come to the realization that it's all a bunch of "hooey". Wanna make money online? Do some homework. First, you have to know how to use all the tools available. That takes time. Be prepared for your share of trial and error too. The guys who really make good money online worked at it, learned it, then used what they learned. These guys have spent small fortunes and countless hours on their way to success. They have done the legwork, tried the hype, and figured out what works and what doesn't. My hat's off to the gentlemen who have had the patience and tenacity to achieve the American Dream with online marketing. They've proven that with guidance and ingenuity financial success online is very possible for anyone.
